Bringing resistive RAM technology to volume production

Weebit Nano Limited is collaborating with SkyWater Technology to bring its resistive RAM (ReRAM) technology to volume production.

Under the agreement, Weebit will transfer the ReRAM technology to SkyWater’s production fab and SkyWater will license the technology to offer the memory to its customers as embedded, non-volatile memory IP on its 130 nm CMOS process.

While cutting edge technology — such as microprocessors, 5G chipsets and more — require leading-edge manufacturing, Skywater said its 130 nm process is a sweet spot for a broad range of applications including analog, power management, automotive, internet of things and radiation-hardened designs.
